DOES GOD EXIST ?

The evidence of HIS existence is all around us. All you need do to prove it is to take a sip of water. The planet Earth orbits the sun at a distance of approximately 93,000,000 miles, if that distance was decreased by only a small percentage the vast majority of water on this planet would be in the form of vapor , if increased by the same amount there would be mostly ice. Any scientist will tell you that life, even on the microscopic level , has always ( in human experience ) been associated with liquid water . Did this happen accidentally ?

I don’t want to be misunderstood . I am not advocating the destruction of science , only that it should be placed in it’s proper prospective . While the premise of cause and effect is very useful , it will not explain everything nor work consistently where people are involved . Trying to apply it , instead of GOD’S Law , to people is one reason that both our government and society are in trouble . Science is limited by the abilities of the people involved in it and we do have the very best qualified people .

Science in its purest form is a search for truth . It has given us many items that have made our lives easier and more productive . Scientist marvel at the beauty and complexity of our vast universe as do we all . Some of them , along with atheist and agnostics , simply refuse to accept the fact that there exists an intelligence far above their own , whose works they can never hope to understand . They attempt to dismiss the existence of GOD in order to elevate their own status and establish their own "religion in disguise ". This elevated status is required to obtain the money needed to fund their costly projects . Each branch has it’s " high priest " commonly called " an expert "in that field of study .We call their religion " science " and accept it quickly because we can understand it’s basic concepts .

Since we understand some of the basics , (an apple will fall when we drop it like Isaac Newton said ) we TRUST that these people are operating in the realm of provable fact even when they are not . They concoct theories such as " global warming " and " black holes "which can be nether proved nor disproved and have the nasty habit of ignoring evidence which does not fit into their preconceived notions of existing systems of science. This allows them to maintain their status " high priest " and livelihood without the bother of actually having to prove anything . Many of their unproved theories are taught as fact in our public schools . While the "BIG BANG" theory of creation explains the apparent expansion of the universe it also has it’s problems. It could only occur if all the matter, energy, time and space itself existed as a single point and if this is the case, WHERE DID IT COME FROM ? With all this mass in one place , why did it not form a "black hole" which would be consistent with that theory ? The more we learn , the more questions arise ! Many scientist ( contrary to what is popularly published ) recognize the fact that the universe is far too complex and systematic to have been formed by random or chance occurrence . If this were not so, there would be no FACTS and no need of science . "SOMEONE" authored the physical laws that scientist have spent their lives pursuing.

If the length of time required to complete an orbit around the sun were changed, making our seasons longer or shorter, conditions would be much more extreme. Can you imagine summers and winters that last for 6 months instead of 3. What if the angle that the earth tilts on it axis was changed ? ( Another Ice Age or worse ? ) What if the earth only rotated on it’s axis once every 30 days rather then every 24 hours making each day 30 days long? What if the size of or distance from the moon was changed , changing the ocean tides ? What if our atmosphere didn’t filter out harmful radiation while allowing the good stuff to come through ? These are only a VERY FEW of the conditions required for us to exist as we are .

This is amateur scientific speculation , valid ,easy to follow , and easily used to mislead . We commonly take for granted that the sun will rise , the rain will fall when needed and that the air we breath will keep us alive , along with hundreds of other daily occurrences. Thank GOD we don’t have control over any of these things and are incapable of "improving" them . After all , we are only human .It takes only a moments thought to realize that thousands , if not millions , of details had to come together in precise order and on a grand scale for this planet to be capable of supporting life as we know it.

If any one of these conditions were different, mankind , as we know it today , would not exist .Yet this planet is much much less on the cosmic scale then is a single drop of water in all the oceans or a grain of sand from all the beaches . ( Where does that leave you and me? )

CAN ANYONE REALLY BELIEVE THAT ALL THIS HAPPENED JUST BY CHANCE ? Think about it over your next glass of iced tea ,cup of hot coffee or even a plain old glass of water . Remember if it were not for the LOVE of our heavenly FATHER we would all be in HOT WATER for HE watches over us constantly .

"What is impossible for man is possible for GOD " ( Luke 18:27 ) . The mind of GOD is further above ours then we are above the simplest microscopic virus. We can never hope to understand HIS reasons or actions. Our only HOPE is in the knowledge , passed to us through HIS WORD , that HE LOVED US enough to send HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to suffer and die so that the imperfections which separated us from HIM could be hidden in our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST . In 2 PETER 3:9 GOD tells us that it is not HIS will that any should perish and makes it as easy as possible to be saved .In Revelation 3:20 JESUS says Behold I stand at the door and knock . GOD wants you to be saved , HE loves us even when we can’t love ourselves . In JOHN 14:6 JESUS tells us that HE is the Way , the Truth and the Light , no man comes to the FATHER but by HIM . There are only three steps to being saved :

( JOHN 3:16 ) 1. BELIEVE that JESUS CHRIST is the SON OF GOD.

( ROMANS 3:23 ) 2. CONFESS that you have sinned and

( MATTHEW 7:7 ) 3. ASK JESUS to forgive you and come into your life.

Here is a suggested short prayer:

DEAR JESUS , Please forgive my sins , I believe YOU are the one and only SON of GOD and I accept YOU as my LORD and SAVIOR . AMEN

If you have prayed this prayer earnestly and sincerely , then your sins have been forgiven and you are a new person , blameless in the sight of GOD . You may or may not feel different ( Often JESUS will lift your burdens on the spot ) but we know from HIS WORD that this is all that is required .You are no longer alone , JESUS is with you forever and GOD through HIM will hear your prayers . You also have Millions of new brothers and sisters in CHRIST . Seek them out for they will be a great comfort to you . They are easy to find because they are usually SMILING .
